"One World, One Promise" was the motto of the 21st World Jamboree, which was dedicated to the worldwide celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the Scout Movement. More than 37'868 Scouts and Guides from 162 nations were present at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex, 35 miles north-east of London England. More than 50'000 people attended the Jamboree each day. It was noted that more countries participated in this Jamboree than in the last Olympic Games. The World Scout Movement was certified by the Guinness Book of Records as the "largest youth organisation in the world" during the Jamboree.
