Scouts and Guides Free Stamp Catalogue, Edition 2023

The ArGe Pfadfinder has been using the "Pfadfinder Freistempel Katalog" since at least the 1980s. This catalogue has become the most important reference work for identifying scout postmarks. The Arbeitsgemeinschaft Pfadfinder (Germany) and Scouts on Stamps Society International (SOSSI) have collaborated to produce this fourth digital and informative edition of the "Scout and Guide Meter Stamp Catalogue".

In the current 2023 edition, 627 pages of United States meter slogans have been added, more than doubling the size of the catalogue from the 2022 edition. In addition to the translation into German and English, the additions include colour examples (where possible), franking stamp type identification and known years of use.

The PDF document can be searched to help identify a postage meter stamp. The "International Postage Meter Stamp Catalogue" by Richard Stambaugh was used to identify the franking stamp types. The "Scout and Guide Meter Stamp Catalogue, Edition 2023", comprising 1179 pages compiled by Charles Schafstall is available free of charge to members and non-members. Annual updates are planned.
